In many areas of our educational system, the right hand side of the brain has no role to play or very limited role to show. Under utilization of right lobe of brain could be the biggest deterrent to your children's academic and professional success. Using the right side of the brain can provide your children a number of benefits and advantages. The left side of the brain always relies on academic drills, repetition of exercises, periodical tests and quizzes and linear and methodical approaches that eventually help your children enhance and build memory. On the other hand, right lobe of the brain depends on visual and graphical stimulation that relies on developing excellent photographic memory abilities, very strong visualization skills and extra ordinary creativity.
Now, what do you need for your children? Do you need the most common education that relies heavily on developing the left side of the brain? Alternatively, do you need innovative techniques that rely on the extraordinary powers of right lobe of the brain? Obviously, you need a range of methods and techniques that enhances the powers of the right side of the brain.
In essence, right brain training is a series of teaching methods and techniques that allow your children learn in a completely new manner, by activating both lobes of the brain including stimulating the vocal centers of the right lobe of the brain. When you activate the right hand side of the brain at an early age, you can make your children activate all types of learning activities in a joyous and understanding manner. Right lobe brain games and exercises will help your children build extreme confidence, develop excellent memory power and enhance self esteem.

The basic methods of right brain education are very simple and straightforward. They are very easy to understand and apply. These methods seek to develop or enhance:

- Visualization methods based on a three dimensional perspective

Rapid or accelerated right brain development relies on simple and easy experiences or exercises that are straightforward and cajoling. Here are some simple and tested approaches to develop the right lobe of your children's brain. Make sure that you start these exercises very early in your children' life, say one to two years. Very young children tend to learn quicker, when compared to older children aged more than six years.
Building a number of unique experiences:
You will need to devise a number of simple exercises that enhances a number of useful and advantageous experiences. For example, you can introduce your young children to simple exercises like rolling a colorful ball on the floor, flip pages of a colorful book or even making the child to grasp a colorful object by hand. These are the most basic senses of a developing brain. When you provide an opportunity for your young children to develop these basic senses, they can correlate the basic abilities of the right lobe with that of the left side. Examples of some applications are:
- Show colorful and vibrant pictures and move them slowly away from your child's eyes, so that they turn their heads towards the direction of the picture.
- Give a colorful toy to your toddler, so that he or she can try to hold it in the hands. Make sure that the toy you give is soft and colorful and preferably with some sounds
- If the child is more than one year old, allow him or her to explore the surroundings and nearby objects. However, make sure that you keep your child under your constant watch.
Provide enough time everyday to practice and develop repetition of songs, stories and other special experiences:
Constant repetition and practice can make you children develop strong brain skills. Repetition of same songs and stories will help your children develop solid listening and imaging skills. Children always learn through repetition. Brain connections tend to develop faster, when people repeat experiences several times every day. Just take the example of babies smiling back, when their mothers smile at them. Pathways that relate to emotions can develop very quickly with this simple exercise. A young child's developing brain has a wired connection to encourage a constant repetition of words, sounds and syllables.
Examples of applications of repetition:
- Provide an opportunity for your young children to listen to stories and poems for at least 25 minutes every day. When you repeat this experiences for a minimum of 6 months, you child will have accumulated experience of more than 3000 hours of brain stimulation that eventually will lead to a very strong foundation for upcoming kindergarten school.
- Bring home lot of colorful story and poem books for daily reading.
Old children who are six years and above in their age need much focused training that relies heavily on the usage of graphical and image patterns. The main goal of training your children for right brain training is to make them think in radical ways that tend to be varietals and divergent. Most children who excel in right brain abilities are very creative and they tend act on their power of intuition to achieve results.
However, remember that there is no such theory that right brain is always the better than the left. It is just that you want to make your children complete in both halves of the brain. Your children need both lobes of the brain in equal measures. However, you may still need to ensure that both lobes of the brain work in tandem and in a harmonious manner that is mutually advantageous and beneficial.
